šš» Hello! I’m Claire; self-confessed book-a-holic, grammar corrector and head-in-the-clouds dreamer.
Originally from Fife, I moved to Aberdeen at 18 with a passion for music that led me to completing my Bachelors Degree in Music Performance at the University of Aberdeen. After graduating in 2018, I embarked on an unforgettable adventure with the Walt Disney World Company on an exchange program in Orlando, which added a touch of magic and adventure to my life. Shortly after, I completed my PGDE in Primary Education (once again, at the University of Aberdeen), and I’ve been teaching ever since, with a move to the Secondary sector early in 2024.
As a lifelong book lover, Iām currently diving into an English Literature Degree with Open University, which lets me explore my love of stories and language even further. With over half a decade of teaching experience in both primary and secondary classrooms, I’ve had the joy of helping students connect with learning in ways that are meaningful and engaging.
Now, I’m building my own Literary Services business here in the North East of Scotland – both a terrifying and exciting new adventure. On the East Coast is where I live with my husband, our dog, and guinea pig; steadily building our zoo one animal at a time! This venture is all about creating more time for my family while doing what I love most ā sharing my passion for reading, writing, and helping others bring their words to life. I can’t wait to connect and share in the joy of stories together!
